Monthly Donation

Austin Buddhist Vihara has been functioning for the past 15 years. Since its inception, monthly donation from the local community has been the core source of income to maintain the Vihara and its services. The Vihara has been greatly contributing to the local Buddhists, children and other community members, helping them in their needs and providing a valuable service that the community has come to rely on. The Vihara greatly appreciates all the contributions made thus far and hope your monthly contributions will continue in order for the Vihara to continue to provide the valuable service to the community.

Building Fund

The current building used for the Austin Buddhist Vihara is getting over crowded and the time has come to renovate and rebuild the site to accomodate a larger gathering. Initial planning and designs for renovation is currently underway. Building constructions will begin as soon as the planning is finalized. We have already started collecting funds for the building renovation under a separate bank account and anyone can contribute for this noble cause. While we appreciate the contributions made thus far, we hope you will continue to contribute to help make the building renovation a reality.

Scholarship Program

Sri Sumanajothi scholarship fund was established 10 years ago, and it has been very successful in helping the poor students in need in the rural areas of Sri Lanka. The scholarship fund contributed in helping over 50 students per year, who are in dire needs to get through their education. The vihara maintains a separate bank account for the scholarship fund and it is very thankful for all the contributions received thus far and expect the community will continue to donate and contribute towards this good cause to help the poor students in need of a good education.
